From June 19 to 22, 2024, NorenSpring (Xuzhou Apex Spring Manufacturing Co., Ltd., shown on our booth as NorenSpring) exhibited at Manufacturing Expo 2024 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Thailand. Visitors reviewed our spring samples and discussed their drawings and operating requirements with our team, and our follow-up afterwards was drawing review, product selection and quotation.

Key takeaways

  • Manufacturing Expo 2024 ran June 19–22, 2024 in Hall EH98-104 at BITEC, Bangkok, organised by RX Tradex (BITEC).
  • Booth discussions centred on custom spring geometry, loads, materials, surface treatment and prototype requirements.
  • Thailand is one of the export markets NorenSpring already serves, so the show was a chance to meet buyers face to face.
  • If you visited us, you can still send your drawing or sample for engineering review.

About Manufacturing Expo 2024

Manufacturing Expo is an annual trade show at BITEC for manufacturing and supporting industries in Thailand and the wider ASEAN region. The organiser, RX Tradex, runs it as a group of co-located shows covering plastics, moulds and dies, automotive parts manufacturing, robotics and automation, electronics assembly, surface and coatings, and factory technology (BITEC event page; Manufacturing Expo). That mix brings together the people who design, source and assemble mechanical parts, which is exactly who specifies springs.

What visitors asked us about

Visitors reviewed spring samples on the counter and discussed custom applications with our team. The discussions focused on three topics.

Topic What to put on the drawing or enquiry
Geometry, load and installation Key dimensions, load at a working length (or torque at an angle), space limits
Materials and surface treatment Operating environment, preferred material, finish and colour
Prototypes, production and documents Sample quantity, annual volume, inspection records and certificates needed

Geometry, load and installation space

The first question is what the spring has to do and where it has to fit. A compression spring needs a load at a stated length, an outside diameter that clears its bore and a solid height below the shortest working length. An extension spring needs its hook orientation and initial tension. A torsion spring needs its leg angles and the torque at the working angle. Our guide to specifying a custom compression spring lists the inputs a manufacturer needs.

Materials and surface treatment

Operating environment decides the material and the finish. Carbon spring wire and oil-tempered wire cover most general machinery. Stainless steel suits damp or corrosive conditions. Silicon-chrome and other alloy spring steels are chosen for higher stress. Finishes such as zinc plating, black coating or powder coating then add corrosion protection or identification colour. Our capabilities page shows the full material and surface-treatment list.

Prototypes, production and documents

Many buyers want samples before committing to a new supplier. We supply prototype and pre-production samples for dimensional, load and fit approval, then agree the inspection records, material certificates and traceability needed for production. There’s no fixed minimum order, so a short prototype run and a volume order follow the same review.

What happens after the show

Every enquiry from the booth follows the same path as an online one: we review the drawing or sample, confirm manufacturability, and come back with engineering feedback or a quote within 24 hours. If you have only a sample, the wire diameter, outside diameter and free length are enough to start. You’ll find our full compression, extension and torsion spring ranges on the products pages.

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth in Bangkok and shared their application requirements. If we didn’t get to your part at the show, send us your drawing or sample and our engineers will pick it up from there.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Answers Before You Ask

Clear answers to common purchasing questions.

Still have questions?
Can you manufacture from my drawing without a standard part number?

Yes. Most of our projects start from a customer drawing or application sketch. We review the geometry, material and performance needs, then confirm manufacturability before quoting.

What is your minimum order quantity?

We support both small-batch prototypes and high-volume production. There is no fixed MOQ — quantities are evaluated based on the spring type, tooling and material requirements.

How do you handle springs for high-temperature or corrosive environments?

We select materials (such as Inconel, stainless steel or special alloys) and surface treatments matched to the operating environment. Our engineers can recommend options based on temperature range, media exposure and cycle life.

What documentation can you provide with production orders?

We supply inspection reports, material certificates, dimensional records and traceability documentation as agreed during project setup. PPAP and FAIR packages are available for automotive and aerospace programs.

What is the expected lead time?

Lead time depends on the spring type, material, tooling, quantity and approval requirements. We confirm the production and sample schedule during quotation.

How are payment and delivery terms confirmed?

Commercial terms, delivery address and documentation requirements are confirmed with the quotation before production starts.

What support is available after delivery?

After-delivery questions can be routed through the project contact for drawing questions, quality documents, repeat orders and application feedback.

Can you provide samples before mass production?

Yes. Prototype and pre-production samples can be arranged for dimensional, load and application approval before the full production order proceeds.
